From among the several articles contained in the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), compliance with the Protection from exposure to tobacco smoke [Article 8] has achieved the highest rate of adherence 44 because this is the most obvious way for non-smokers including children to prevent unwanted exposure to smoking, and a wide range of interventions are possible through law and policy 45,46
